George Moore

Moore, George P. Plainwell, MI George Perry Moore, age 77, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at his home. He was born on August 3, 1939 in Sweet Water, AL to Putten and Mary Elma (Johnson) Moore. He retired from General Motors after 41 years of service. George was preceded in death by his father, one sister and three brothers. He is survived by three children, Darryl (Monica) Moore of Otsego, Pamela Moore of Mobile, AL and godson, Nicholas Kaleward of Portage; three grandsons; his mother, Mary Moore of Sweet Water, AL; eleven siblings, Mary (Leonard) Lockett, Thomas (Maureen) Moore, of Kalamazoo, MI, Annie Poellnitz of Dixon Mills, AL, Elma Graye (Albert) Maye, Etta (Dubois) McIntosh of Portage, MI, Luther Moore of Kalamazoo, MI, William (Doris) Moore of Saginaw, MI, Brenda (Joe) Jones of Franklin, TN, Belinda (Cornelius) Bryant of Montgomery, AL, Dennis (Terry) Moore of Covington, GA and Elvis (Tracy) Moore of Spring Hill, TN; his companion of many years, Tammy Creech; and many nieces and nephews. Family hour will be held from 11AM to 12 Noon on Tuesday, February 14th at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street where services will begin at 12 Noon with Bishop Karl Wallace officiating.
