Gary Squires

Gary J. Squiers, age 79 of Schoolcraft, died on October 22, 2021. He was born March 29, 1942, in Detroit, the son of George and Dorothea (Anderson) Squiers. A 1960 graduate of Grosse Point South High School, Gary then graduated with his Bachelor's Degree from Western Michigan University. He worked at Upjohn Company and Pharmacia as a systems engineer and later managed the computer center until his retirement. He married Karen Lee Million, who preceded him in death in 2004. Gary enjoyed spending time with Karen at the Elks Lodge in Lawton and the Beacon Club in Kalamazoo. The family shared time at the lake cottage and loved boating. His family includes his children: Jill Squiers (Robert Famiglietti) and Jeff (Kim) Squiers; his grandchildren: Mickenzie, Kaitlyn, Michael, and Matthew; his sisters: Gail (Ed) Waltermeyer and Mary Squiers; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with his family on Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 9:00-10:30 AM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009, where service will be held at 10:30 AM.
