Obituary
Garry Champion, 72, of Gobles, passed away Tuesday February 4, 2025, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo after a brief illness.
He was born November 10, 1952, in Allegan, Michigan, the son of Joseph Champion and Vi (Adams) Champion.
Garry retired several years ago as a semi-truck driver for Zeeland Farm Services. He was a true outdoorsman and avid sports fan of the Detroit Tigers, Lions, and U of M football. He loved to be out on the lake fishing and camping at Scott Lake Campground with his dog, Bella. Most of all, Garry adored his family, especially hanging out with his oldest grandson, Bentley.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer (Moreo) Champion; daughter, Katie Champion; grandchildren, Bentley, Parker and Leon; siblings, Larry (Marsha) Champion, Barbara (Jerry) Dundon, and Brian (Janet Lowman) Champion; two nieces, Kerri (Bret) Moss and Krista (Derek Enis) Champion and his two nephews, Shawn and Matthew Dundon.
Garry was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Ronald Champion.
Per Garry's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held in the spring.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Gobles Athletic Department.
