Gail Easter

Passed away peacefully at home on September 3, 2010 surrounded by her family. Gail was born on July 5, 1936 in Kalamazoo the daughter of the late Frank and Victoria (Skalski) Haiduk. Gail was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kalamazoo. She was an Executive Secretary at the Upjohn Company. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Gail was always there to take care of family and friends when needed. She married Dale S. Easter on September 6, 1958 who preceded her in death on February 3, 2007. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Haiduk. Gail is survived by four children: Kimbralyn (Christopher) Miller of Kalamazoo; Kathleen (Ronald) Kuivenhoven of Kalamazoo; Karen (Gary) Burton of Lawton and Brian Easter (Diana Harkness); seven grandchildren: Andrew and Matthew Kuivenhoven; Jessica and Shane Easter and their mother, Kathleen Easter; Lorin, Derek and Hunter (Adrienne) Miller; two great grandchildren: Madison Spears and Aidan Miller and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 9, 2010 from 5-7 PM at REDMOND 4100 S. Westnedge Ave (269) 343-6156. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 10, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 939 Charlotte Street, Kalamazoo. Father David Grondz Celebrant. A luncheon will be held at Fr. Bart Hall immediately following the Mass. Interment will take place at 2:00 PM in Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI.
