Frederick W. Rugg Bellevue, MI August 21, 1935 - March 11, 2008 Frederick Warren "Fred" Rugg, 72, of Bellevue died March 11, 2008 in Winter Haven, Florida. He was born August 21, 1935, the son of Cyrus and Pauline (Hodges) Rugg in Battle Creek. He graduated from Bellevue High School in 1953 and served in the U.S. Army from 1958-60 in Europe. Fred worked at Michigan Carton for 12 years and then Fisher Body in Lansing for 30 years retiring in 1995. Fred is survived by his wife, Harriet (Mahoney) Rugg of Bellevue; son, David (Rhonda) Rugg of Battle Creek; daughter, Kathy Flint of Bellevue; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters, Pat (Raymond) DeMott of Bitely, Michigan, Jean Criffield (Curtis Willison) of Bellevue, Sandra (Harry) Palmer of Weedman; and brothers, Harold (Mary) Rugg and Gary (Gale) Rugg, both of Battle Creek. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Don Rugg. Fred was a member of Dexter Lake Church of God. Family will receive friends from 2 until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Shaw Funeral Home, Battle Creek. Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2008 at the funeral home, Pastor Jeffery Davis officiating. Interment, Floral Lawn Cemetery.
