Frederick Tatro

Frederick W. "Fred" Tatro, 78, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away on October 17, 2025. He was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Fred proudly served in the U.S. Navy for four years before earning his associate degree in industrial engineering from Western Michigan University. Over the course of his multi-decade sales career, he built lasting relationships and earned the respect and friendship of many.

On November 25, 1987, Fred married the love of his life, Barbara. After retiring in 2001, the couple relocated to St. Augustine in August 2003, where they made many wonderful memories together.

A passionate golfer, Fred was a "pro at heart-just without the PGA card." He was a proud member of Royal St. Augustine Golf Club and cherished time spent on the course with friends. He also loved dining out with his wife and friends and especially enjoyed sailing adventures through the British Islands on a yacht.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Tatro; children, Eric Tatro, Judy Swafford, Tanya McCabe (Robert) and Todd Glassman (Marguerite); grandchildren, Remmington, Dashiell, Samantha, Ashley, Autumn and Austin (Danielle) and great grandchildren, Eli and Layton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Joyce Tatro and his sister, Carolyn Tatro.
