Francis Joseph Blaise Jr. passed away Sunday, July 16th, 2023, just shy of his 92nd birthday.
Frank's career was a hospital administrator and he served in the navy and reserves as a commander. Frank was a man of service; volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Kids Hope, Literacy Tutoring, a Boy Scout Leader, along with driving Vets to Dr. appointments and giving them 21 gun salutes at their funerals'. His service to the Red Cross lasted 40 years with 100's of blood drives, working all over the country with the disaster action Red Cross, including Katrina and 9/11. Frank's wife and family were his priority. He lived a life of service, generosity, humility and integrity! His legacy will live on through us!
He was married to his life partner of 69 years, Karen (Krogh)Blaise. He is survived by his wife Karen, 6 children, 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great, great granddaughter.
There will be a memorial service at St Martin's of Tours, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The service will begin on Saturday at 11am on September the 9th, 2023. A luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Habitat for Humanity, St Judes, and Associations concerning conservation.
