Frances Fae Sampsell (Crowson) of Grand Ledge passed away peacefully on October 18, 2023. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on October 1, 1935 to Lewis W. and Winnie Fae (Story) Crowson.
She graduated from Little Rock High School and attended Little Rock Jr. College.
She moved to Lawton, Michigan where she met Eugene Sampsell. They were married on February 16, 1957 and were married almost fifty-eight years, Gene passed away on January 22, 2015. Frances was an avid quilter and enjoyed being with her friends and neighbors.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Sampsell and Vickie (Dennis) Gammon; grandsons, Luke and Benjamin Gammon.
According to Frances' wishes a cremation has taken place and she will be interred with her husband at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lawton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute or the American Diabetes Association.
