Frances Higdon

Higdon, Frances (Frannie) 1/15/1955 - 2/17/2022 Richland Frannie Higdon, age 67, passed away Thursday morning, February 17th, 2022, in her home in Richland, MI with her husband and sister at her side. Born January 15th, 1955 to George and Rheba (Sisk) Kessler in Indianapolis, IN. Frannie was a 1973 graduate of Triton Central High School and later received an Associates Degree of Theology in 1980. Married to her husband Scott, in Emporia Kansas, on July 8th, 1984, and moved to the Richland, MI, area from Pensacola, Fl, in 1990, where her daughters were born. Frannie, who's parents were deaf, became an ASL sign language interpreter for many years licensed in MI. She was an avid photographer of nature, especially wildlife She spent over 45 years dedicated to teaching the Bible and had spent much time teaching throughout the US as well as in India and Nepal. She was a genuine pastor to many. Frannie loved traveling and did so extensively with her husband and children to over 25 countries. Preceded in death by her parents. Survived by her husband Walter Scott and her two daughters, Abigail Higdon, and Dr. Alexandra Higdon, both living in San Diego. Also survived by her two sisters, Rebecca Madigan, and Rita McCall, both from the Indianapolis area. As per Frannie's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on April 9th, at Gull Lake Country Club, in Augusta, MI. Details for the memorial can be obtained by contacting the family at wscotthigdon@gmail.com.
