Fernando Capestany

CAPESTANY, FERNANDO C. Fernando C. Capestany, age 88, of Hudsonville, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 19, 2013. Fernando was a fun loving, humorous man who loved his family and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. There was never a dull moment as he loved to pull an occasional prank! He loved spending time in the water whether swimming or spending the day fishing. He had a love of music as well and loved to dance. Fernando came to the U.S. in 1962, sponsored by Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, and remained in the U.S. ever since. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Yolanda "Julie" Capestany; children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Fernando L. Capestany and his son, Cory; Nelson and Sandra Capestany and their children, Sara and Brent Walter (Gabriel, Ainsley, Samuel, Josiah), Susan and Aaron Bailey (Anaiya, Landon, Selah), David and Ruth Capestany (Annalise, Joshua, Daniel), Jorge and Marti Capestany and their daughter, Carli; sisters, Elsa Mori, Celia Capestany; brother-in-law, Lazaro Ruiz and family. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday 11 AM at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, 3520 Kiel, Hudsonville with Rev. Robert Huisman and Rev. Milt Doornbos officiating. Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
