Felix Czuk passed away quietly in his sleep on September 14 at his daughter's house in Tacoma, WA at the age of 92. Felix as born on October 6, 1931 and was a life-long resident of Kalamazoo. He was the son of Jacob and Stella Czuk. He is reunited in death by his sister Wanda (Ed) Hargot, brother Chester (Carolyn) Czuk, nephews Patrick Hargot (Katha) and David Czuk. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years Irene (Szumowski) Czuk, son Mitchell (Mary) Czuk of Federal Way, WA and daughter Christine (Robert) Turner of Tacoma, WA, a niece, nephew, as well as 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Felix graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and started college but interrupted his schooling to enlist in the Air Force during the Korean War. He then returned home to finish his Engineering program at Western Michigan University. He spent his career working for Stryker, Clarage Fan and Interkal. He retired in 1994 and enjoyed hosting his grandchildren during summer vacations in Kalamazoo or traveling for extended stays with them in Washington for the holidays. We remember him for his patient, loving temperament as he worked and played with his grandchildren. The meticulous handyman we all dreamed of, his legacy of curiosity, creativity, and imagination remains in the many homemade toys, household repairs, and Eagle Scout projects he completed. He would selflessly do whatever was needed to help his family.

His funeral mass was held in Washington State. His burial service will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek on Monday, October 14, at 10:00am.
