Everett Miller

Everett L. Miller, 80, of Athens, formerly of Sherwood, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008. He was born March 23, 1928 in Athens Township, Michigan, the son of Howard J. and Jennie Miller. Everett was a 1946 graduate of Tekonsha High School, retired from Post Cereals in 1986 after 36 years of service and was a member of the Post 25-year club. On June 20, 1948 he was married to Marella "Millie" Peck in Battle Creek and she preceded him in death on March 24, 2001. He was also preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Elon, Lawrence and Roy Miller. Surviving are three children: Thomas (Ruth Anne) Miller of Union City, Judy Miller of Athens and James (Lou Anne) Miller of Tekonsha; six grandchildren: Thomas (Pam) Miller, Patricia (Eric) Goheen, William Bryan Miller, Michael Miller, Mark Miller and Michelle Miller; eight great-grandchildren; one sister: Irene Mosser of Sturgis; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with interment to follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
