Rendon, Eva 6/25/1931 - 9/17/2022 Gobles Eva Rendon (Sandlin) of Gobles, MI Eva peacefully departed from us to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 17th, in Kalamazoo, MI. Eva, the daughter of late Floyd Herd Sandlin and Sarah Baker Sandlin, was born in Buckhorn, KY on June 25th, 1931. She was married to her dear Jesse on March 19th, 1960 in St. Clair Shores, MI. Eva and Jesse lived in the Detroit area with their five children before moving to Gobles, MI in 1979, where Jesse founded Rendon & Sons Machining next door to their home. Every day, Jesse faithfully made his way up the hill to the house to enjoy lunch and time with his Eva Mae, even when she would jokingly threaten to make him sleep out in his shop. Eva enjoyed cooking for herself and others, and teaching her skills and recipes to those she loved. She served in the choir at Bethany Presbyterian Church for many years, and her Bible and hymnal were never far out of reach. She loved playing the piano for visitors, and especially for her husband. Eva was a well-known face around town in Gobles, always getting out to shop for herself and others, and of course, play her lotto numbers. And most importantly, she took every opportunity to shower her family and friends with love, making sure everyone knew exactly how cherished and important they were. Eva was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Mabel Rose Doss, Virginia Adams, and Faye McIntosh; brothers Omar, Floyd, Zachary, and Joseph Sandlin; her grandson, Mark Delich; and her adoring husband, Jesse, who she so looked forward to being reunited with. She is survived by her sister Kathleen Kniseley; her children, Frances (Ron) Hassell, Lynn (Randy) Krusinga, Tina (Gary) Napp, Joseph Rendon, and James (Joanna) Rendon; along with all of her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, most of which lovingly knew her as Nanny; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held on September 21st at Journey Family Church, 514 W. Van Buren St, Gobles MI. Visitation from 11:00-1:00, with funeral service starting at 1:00, with a luncheon immediately following. Arrangements entrusted to the Gobles Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, www.dlmillerfuneralhome.com.
