Ernesto Parpanna Corpus, known affectionately as "Ernie," departed this life on August 24, 2023, at the age of 66. Born on May 17, 1957, in the Philippines, to Daniel and Helen (Virginia Swank) Corpus, Ernie brought a vibrant energy and warmth to the lives of everyone he touched. He peacefully passed away in Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, MI, after a brief illness.

Ernie was a man of many talents and pursuits. He worked for many years as a Logistics 3 Operator in the pharmaceutical industry. With unwavering dedication, he served his employer, Zoetis, where his coworkers were his second family.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Ernie embraced life's simple pleasures. Known for his passion for cooking, he became a master chef, delighting his family and friends with his sumptuous creations. He also found solace in the great outdoors, frequently embarking on camping and hiking adventures in Hocking Hills, Ohio, and Northern Michigan. Boating enthralled him, and he enjoyed his time behind the helm of his Bayliner.

Ernie possessed a keen intellect and was remarkably adept with electronics. His skill in troubleshooting and fixing gadgets made him the go-to person for friends and family with technological woes. His ability to solve problems with a patient and caring demeanor left an indelible mark on those he helped.

He will forever be missed by his beloved spouse, Margaret "Meg" Corpus, who stood beside him through thick and thin, providing constant love and support. Left to cherish his memory is his mother,

Virginia Parpana Corpus. Ernie's legacy continues through his sons, Jason (Sarah) Corpus and Bryan Corpus. His paternal love and guidance shaped them into outstanding individuals who embody his unwavering commitment to family, hard work, and integrity. Also surviving are his siblings Ramon Corpus, Benajmin Corpus, Pia Kroyer, "Lea" Ginger (Joe) Kinshaw and grandchildren Mason, Hazel, Juniper and Florence, along with his beloved extended family.

Ernie's Life Celebration will be Saturday September 16, 2023, from 10 am until 11 am in Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd. Toledo, Ohio 419-475-5055 where the Memorial Service will begin at 11 am. The family prefers memorial contributions be made in his memory to Donate Life or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
