Elizabeth Houghton

Elizabeth (Betty) M. Houghton, age 85, passed away May 8, 2019 at the Fountains at Bronson Place in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Elizabeth was born July 6, 1933 in Springfield, Vermont. On October 5, 1952, she was united in marriage to Warren S. Houghton. Elizabeth was a member of the Oshtemo United Methodist Church and the Kalamazoo Downstreamers. She enjoyed camping, canoeing, bird watching and baking. Elizabeth especially loved caring for and spending special times with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Warren S. Houghton on November 24, 2017; and by her parents. Surviving are two daughters Pam "Kye" (Gary) Krafft and Paula (Jeff) Boes; four grandchildren Megan (Theodore) Gould, Kevin Krafft (Tamara Mitchell), Adam Boes, Nathan (Jessica) Meister; two great-grandchildren Alyssa Gould and Carter Gould; In accordance with Elizabeth's wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM on Tuesday, May 14th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. A memorial service to celebrate Elizabeth's life will begin at 2:00PM Tuesday at the Westside Chapel with Pastor John Fisher officiating. A private interment will be in Mt.
