Elizabeth DeVisser

Elizabeth "Betty" DeVisser, age 96, of Grand Rapids formerly of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Sunday afternoon, February 12, 2017 in Grand Rapids. Betty was born February 13, 1920 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of the late Arie and Gertrude (VanRee) Kwekel. She was a member of the Netherlands Reformed Congregation. On November 9, 1944 Betty was united in marriage to Adrian DeVisser who preceded her in death on July 18, 2008. She was also preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Cornelia Boot, Arie Jr., Joe and John Kwekel. Betty is survived by her children, Richard (Marilyn) DeVisser, Beth (David Engelsma, Paul (Janet) DeVisser, Timothy (Ruth) DeVisser; 21 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister and brother, Emeline Kamp and Gary Kwekel; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, February 16 at the Netherlands Reformed Congregation, 108 Pratt Rd with Rev. Herman Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Friends may meet the family on Thursday from 10:00-11:00am at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Providence Christian School.
