Elias "Jake" Inverso, aged 75, of Wayland, Michigan, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2007. Jake retired from the Navy after 22 years of service. He was one of the first paramedics for the Wayland Area Ambulance. He is survived by his wife, Kay; children, Anthony (Nancy) Inverso, Master Chief Cheri Inverso, Robert (Claudia) Inverso, Missy (Mark) Stora; 10 grandchildren; sister, Rebecca Barasso; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Freeman and Marcia Martin; also many nieces and nephews. Jake was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers-in-law. Jake was a lifetime member of the Wayland VFW Post 7581. According to his wishes cremation has taken place. Jake's final wishes were to be buried at sea. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2007 at the Wayland VFW Post 7581.
