Edward Wakeman

WAKEMAN (Kentwood) - Mr. Edward F. Wakeman, age 67, passed into the presence of his Lord Jesus on Saturday, February 19, 2011, and now joins his wife, Audrey on her birthday in Heaven. Ed attended Blythefield Hills Baptist Church. For many years he worked as a baker for Arnies. He enjoyed gardening and had a great appreciation for food. Ed loved his family, was a wonderful father, and considered his grandchildren the highlight of his life. He is survived by his children, Eric and Rachelle Wakeman of Kentwood, and Jodi and Sterling Blood of Grandville; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Marlena, Samuel, Elijah, and Marian Wakeman, Austin, Hailey, Kendall, Hunter, and Garrett Blood. The memorial service for Mr. Wakeman will be Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Blythefield Hills Baptist Church with Pastor Louie Konopka officiating. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Blythefield Hills Baptist Church.
