Edna A. Hossink, age 83, of Holland, died Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Appledorn Assisted Living Center.
She was a member of Graafschap Christian Reformed Church and the Ladies Aid Society. Edna was also a member of the Evergreen Singers. She retired from Holland Christian Schools after 25 years of employment as an elementary school teacher. She also taught at Roseland Christian School and Hudsonville Christian School.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Esther Veldheer. Edna is survived by her brother and sisters, Floyd Hossink, Mary Hossink, Betty Woodwyk; and brother- in- law, Vernin Veldheer, all of Holland; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p. m. Monday, March 7, 2011, at Graafschap Christian Reformed Church, 5973 Church St., Holland, with Revs. Stan Scripps and Henry Vanden Heuvel officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visitation will be 2- 4 and 7-8 p.m. Sunday at Langeland- Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland.
Memorial contributions may be given to Holland Christian Schools or The Back to God Hour.
