Easton Michael Johnson

Easton Michael Johnson, age 12 of Paw Paw, MI Passed away on September 15, 2023, at Bronson Methodist Hospital.

Easton was born on January 5, 2011, in Kalamazoo, MI to Jimmy and Kelsie (Costello) Johnson. He attended Paw Paw Middle School in Paw Paw, MI.

Easton "Javi" was well known among the travel baseball community as a standout pitcher, and 3rd baseman for the BTLA Canes. Along with baseball, he was a diehard Miami Dolphins fan, Alabama fan and an admirer of Conor McGregor. The time he loved the most was spent with his best friend and brother, Maverick. He was known by many as Big E or EJ. His signature bleached blonde hair and pink cleats expressed his personality. His confidence was contagious in a way that drew you in, this was evident by the number of friendships he made with teachers, coaches, parents, physicians, teammates, etc. His natural wit and one-liners made it impossible to win an argument.

His legacy will live on, he will always be remembered as a one-of-a-kind kid, just like those unforgettable dimples.

Easton is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Kelsie and brother, Maverick; grandparents: Jim and Nancy Johnson, Mike and Michelle Costello; great grandmothers: Ruth Ann Dobler and Adrinana "Mick" Henwood.

Easton is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Travis Johnson, Marcus Johnson, Dusten Johnson, Tara (Tom) Motycka, and Troy (Dalynda) Costello; cousins: Dylan, Bryce, Brock, Caden and Cora.

The family will receive guests for visitation at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3629 S. 9th St, Kalamazoo MI 49009 on Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday morning, September 22, 2023, at the Kalamazoo First Assembly of God at 5550 Oakland Dr, Portage, MI 49024 with Rev. David Barringer officiating. The family request that you wear your favorite sports team jersey in honor of Easton. The family welcomes you to join them at Paw Paw Youth Baseball Field at 2:00pm and request that you bring a chair.
