Douglas W. Janke

Mr. Douglas W. Janke, age 57, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, June 8, 2019 in Bay City. He was born on June 5, 1962 in Bay City and graduated from Bay City All Saints Central High School in 1981. Doug worked for many years with his family at their business, Valley Industrial Products in Bay City and most recently with Winzer Corp. He was an avid golfer and a true outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing, especially in the U.P. Doug is survived by his daughter, Morgan Janke-Wolff of Portage and her mother, Karen Wolff; his mother, Melissa Janke; his brother and three sisters, Scott (Susan) Janke, Jill (Bernie) Dean, Dana Bostick and Molly (Bryan) Dorion; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Doug was preceded in death by his father, Richard J. Janke in 2016. A celebration of Doug's life will take place on Friday, June 21, 2019 at the Saginaw Bay Yacht Club, 2313 Weadock Hwy., Essexville, MI 48732. Family and friends may gather from 11:00 a.m. until a 1:00 p.m. Tribute Ceremony lead by Fr. Jose Maria Cabrera with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Southern Care Hospice in Portage and Bay City, or to the Saginaw Valley Naval Ship Museum.
