Dorothy Hanson

Dorothy A Kozerski Hanson, age 99, passed away peacefully July 14, 2026 in Downingtown, PA. She was the daughter of Martin and Mary Kozerski of Paw Paw, MI. Dorothy grew up on Harrison St. in Kalamazoo, graduating from Kalamazoo Central High. She was married to the late Herbert Hanson of Kalamazoo. Together they raised six children while his career took the family to several states before settling in West Chester, PA. After Herbert's death in 2007, Dorothy moved to Simpson Meadows Retirement Community in 2014 and remained there until her death. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, especially traditional Polish dishes, and sharing family holiday meals. Her family will remember with love the family she raised and the traditions she passed on. A private burial will take place in the future.
