Dorothy DeVries

Dorothy M. DeVries, aged 88, of Wayland Twp., passed away at home on Wednesday, September 10, 2008. She is survived by her children, Judy (Bob) McNitt, Richard DeVries, Ronald (Karen) DeVries, Diane (Bob) Wierenga; grandchildren, Brian McNitt, Jodie (Dan) Anderson, Jill (Tom) DeJager, Russell DeVries and fiancee, Amanda Lemmer; great grandchildren, Cameron, Tyler and Mitchell Anderson, Kevin and Eric DeJager; also her beloved cat, Millie. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram, in May of 2007; sister, Mildred Callihan. Dorothy was a sales clerk at Dancer's Fashions Store in Wayland for many years. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2008 at the funeral home with Mr. John Wobma officiating. Her cremains will be interred in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wayland Area Ambulance or Faith Hospice. The family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the 1:00 p.m. Monday service at the funeral home.
