Alexander , Dorothy (Kulpa) passed away April 13, 2021 in Richland, Michigan. She was born on August 9, 1920 in Jackson, Michigan, the daughter of Charles Kulpa and Mary (Stankevitz) Kulpa. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles of 62 years, two brothers Harold and Charles Kulpa, sister Joyce (Kulpa) Haines and grandson John Heitz. Surviving are her children Mark (Mary), Dane (Christina), Kim, and Scott (Laura) Alexander; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. Dorothy and Charles came to Richland, Michigan in 1969. Both loved gardening, antique refinishing and golfing together. Blessed with a natural golf swing, Dorothy golfed into her 100th year playing 27 holes in 2020. She had a hole in one to her credit. During her work career, Dorothy was a trained photographer and operated a professional photo retouching business from home allowing her to be a stay at home mom. Dorothy also loved bird watching and studying their habits. Also on her long list of activities were canning from her garden, making fine meals, chair caning, sewing, exercising, baking and decorating her home. She was also an avid reader of politics, history, environmental issues and suspense novels. Most of all, Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family, watching Tiger baseball and professional golf. Our mother will always be loved and in our hearts. She will be buried with her husband Charles at Fort Custer National Cemetery with a private family service.
