Donna Thomas

Donna F. Thomas, age 92 of Kalamazoo, died on August 6, 2025, at Rose Arbor Hospice Home. She was born February 15, 1933, in Zeeland, Michigan, the only daughter of Fred and Della (Wolters) Langeland. She was a 1951 graduate of Kalamazoo Christian High School. Donna worked for 38 years as the office manager of the Prudential office. On March 24, 1970, Donna married James Thomas. They shared 30 wonderful years until his death in 2000. Donna attended Westwood Christian Reformed Church for many years. She enjoyed wintering in Florida. She liked golfing. Her favorite days were spent going to the casino and lunching with friends. She also liked to watch birds in her yard. Her family includes many nieces and nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Thomas, her brothers: David Langeland, Warren Langeland, and Robert Langeland, her nephews and niece: Stephen Langeland, Craig Langeland and Marybeth Langeland. Friends may gather with Donna's family on Saturday, September 6th, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Location, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo, where her memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, with Fred Langeland officiating. Donna loved lunch with her family and friends and a special lunch in her memory will be held. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Donna may be made to Centrica Care Navigators Hospice.
