Donna Stapert

Donna Stapert, age 83, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away at home on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. Donna was born in Kalamazoo on April 11, 1934, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Freda (Bloom) Hall. Donna graduated from Kalamazoo Central where she became very active in theater. After graduating she attended WMU Nursing Program. She later met and married Edward Stapert who preceded her in passing in 1994. She was also preceded in passing by a brother, Robert Hall. Donna was a hard worker and stayed active. She loved to travel and made many trips out west. She loved flowers and being outdoors. Donna was president of the Mattawan Garden Club where she made many friends. Above all she loved her family and friends and leaves them with many wonderful memories to cherish. She is survived by four sons, William Stapert, Tom (Dawn) Stapert, John (Tracie) Stapert and Stephen Stapert; two grandchildren, Bryan and Chelsea Stapert; a great-grandson, Braxton Stapert. In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place and she will be laid to rest at Hope Cemetery. Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home.
