Obituary
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 10, 2026, at the Alamo Cove Nursing Center. Donna was born on January 11, 1929, in Gobles, Michigan, to the late Cecil "Buck" and Emily Leedy. Except for one year, Donna was a lifelong resident of Bloomingdale-the community she deeply loved and dedicated her life to serving. Following her marriage to Richard Roundhouse in 1950, the couple built a beautiful life together until his passing in 2019. Donna worked for many dedicated years at The Upjohn Company until her retirement in 1985. Above all else, Donna loved the Lord. She was a faithful, lifelong member of the Bloomingdale Christian Church, where she served as President of the Christian Women's Fellowship for many terms and was ultimately honored as Deaconess Emerita. Her passion for her community shone through her volunteer work at the local museum and her service with the Bloomingdale Area Schools Foundation. In recognition of their tireless devotion to the town, Donna and Richard were honored as Bloomingdale Citizens of the Year in 2004. Donna's legacy of warmth, faith, and service lives on through her family. She is survived by her son, Ron (Peggie) Roundhouse; her grandchildren, Terri Howard and Randy Roundhouse; her great-grandchildren, Jason and Joshua Howard, and Addalyn, Reese, and Amelia Roundhouse; along with several beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Roundhouse; her parents, Cecil and Emily Leedy; her daughter-in-law, Ginny Roundhouse; her grandson-in-law, Joe Howard; her brother, Donald (Marilyn) Leedy; her sister-in-law, Shirley Kloosterman; and Gare and Evelyn Brockhuizen. The family will meet friends on Monday, August 17th from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m., Pastors Milan Bittenbender and Greg Carlson officiating at the Bloomingdale Christian Church. Interment will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Bloomingdale Christian Church. Arrangements entrusted to the Bloomingdale Chapel, D. L.
