Donna Frye

Frye, Donna J. Kalamazoo, Michigan Donna Jean (Maas) Frye, age 95 of Kalamazoo, passed away on April 7, 2021. She was born January 20, 1926, in Oshtemo, the daughter of Clair and Pearl (Middaugh) Richason. Donna was known for her infectious laugh, quick wit and making friends easily. She was always ready for an adventure and enjoyed traveling for many years. Donna was a loving mother and homemaker, Red Cross volunteer, Boy Scout and Brownie Leader. She enjoyed playing in league bowling and golfing. Prior to marriage Donna worked at Gibson guitar for many years. For the last several years, she enjoyed spending time with her many friends at Heather Hills in Grand Rapids. She was an avid reader, loved working on puzzles and spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family includes her daughter Barbara Haner; her 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leonard Maas in 1972 and Harold Frye in 2006, her son Richard Maas, and her son-in-law Dale Haner. There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
