Donald Stowe

Went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday evening, November 19, 2019. Don was born December 1, 1970 in Kalamazoo the son of Donald E. and Jan (Perry) Stowe. He was a much revered tennis coach for Parchment Schools and did many private lessons and had many private teams. Don was a member of Second Christian Reformed Church and was an avid University of Michigan sports fan. He enjoyed tennis, playing cards and virtual hockey games. He was an Eagle Scout, loved to cook and entertain family and friends. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his wife, boys, and many close family and friends. On October 1, 2011 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, Sherry (Mayer) who survives. Also surviving are his boys, Caleb and Luke Stowe; mother, Jan Stowe; sisters, Rebecca (Tom) Blackburn, Jennifer (Rob) Houtman; parents-in-law, Don (Linda) Mayer; brother and sister-in-law, Greg Mayer, Tammy Cottrell; nieces and nephews, Claire, Madeline, Hannah, Justin, Erika, Lexi, Logan, Rebekah, Carson, Kolton, and Ella. Don was preceded in death by his father, Donald in 2014. Friends may meet the family from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Friday, November 22 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 and from 10:00-11:00am Saturday at the Second Christian Reformed Church, 3015 Nichols Rd where funeral services will be held at 11:00am. A light reception will follow the service and interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to an educational fund for his boys, Caleb and Luke.
