Donald Roode

ROODE - Donald Alan Roode, age 56, of Foley, Alabama, formerly of Dade City, Florida and Grand Rapids, MI, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 18, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Don was a real 'people person', loved his family, and was an excellent golfer who loved to be on the links with his friends. Don had a love for art, photography, and music and spent many hours pursuing these passions. Don will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Don was preceded in death by his father, George Roode; and his sister, Ruthann Koets; and step-fathers, Carl Devol and Adrian Woldring. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his sons, Justin Roode, Beau Roode (Becky); two granddaughters, Paityn and Aubry Roode all of Foley, Alabama; his mother, Connie Woldring; his brother, Tom Roode (Dianne); his brother-in-law, Ron Koets (Kathy); his step-sisters, LouAnn Postma (Fred), Shellie Lovall (Jeff); his nieces, Kim Kracker (Todd), Tami Huitsing (John), Jami VanderKolk (Tim), and Amee Koets all of Grand Rapids, MI, and Sara Murray (Adam) of Avon Lake, Ohio; his many uncles, aunts and cousins plus many other friends and acquaintances from various locations including close friend, Don Gobel of Grand Rapids. According to his wishes he was cremated in Foley, Alabama.
