Donald Prentiss

Passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, at his home. Donald was born on July 12, 1971, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Donald Prentiss, III and Sandra (Merchant). During his high school career, he always excelled in sports, but his passion was basketball, as he was one of the lead scorers in the Kalamazoo area. After graduating from high school, Donald joined the United States Air Force. Once Donald completed his active duty with the Air Force, he attended Cornerstone University and achieved a bachelor's degree. On March 1, 2006, Donald married his best friend, Sherry (Scott), who he enjoyed every moment with. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends any chance he could; he loved anything to have to do with sports, especially the Detroit professional teams and the Michigan Wolverines. Donald was always involved in his son, DJ's sports teams while he was growing up and that was very special to him.

Surviving Donald are his parents; wife, Sherry; son, Donald "DJ" Prentiss V; sister, Christy Kuder; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, 10AM at Kalamazoo First Assembly of God, 5550 Oakland Drive, Portage, Michigan 49024. The family invites anyone that attends the service to please stay for a luncheon provided by the family, immediately following the funeral service. Private family graveside will take place at Ft.
