Ray, Don "Spider" 10/15/1944 - 5/12/2021 Donald Samuel Ray was born the youngest son of the late Wayne Lyle and Arietta Ada Ray October 15, 1944. Known as "SPIDER" to many friends. A graduate of Comstock High School in 1963, Don went on to marry the love of his life Mary Carol Ray (Davis) in June 1966. He was a life long resident of Comstock, MI. Retired from Eaton Corp. and Interkal. Don was a good-hearted man that would do what he could to help others. In his younger years he enjoyed drawing, working on cars, road trips and having fun. Always seen with Diet Pepsi in hand, there wasn't much that he couldn't fix. He had a love of fast cars and street rods. Spider enjoyed spending time laughing and joking with friends and family. Always having a love for his pets. In his later years he spent much time creating his rock fences and paths, playing cards, and working to finish his Street Rod. Along with his parents, Don was preceded in death by three of his siblings; Danny Ray, LaWayne Gish, and Lyle Ray. Survived is his wife Mary C. Ray; Daughter Amy (Brian) Kennedy; Grandchildren Alexis VanderLoon and Brianna Kennedy; Great-grandchild Xena and step great-grandchild Xavier. Sisters Margaret (Carl) Lord, Lila Mulder, and Mary L. Ray. And several nieces and nephews. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life Open house at his home to be held on June 27, 2021 from 2-5pm. No flowers please.
