Dolores (Dolly) Sielatycki went to be with her Lord & Savior on Thursday, March 29, 2018. She was greeted in heaven by her husband John, and youngest daughter Lora Yates. She was sent off with hugs, kisses, laughter and stories of the past by her children Vicki & Mark, Gary & Anita, Brian & Angie, Bruce & Karen, Jamie & Laura, Tom & Danielle and Pam along with 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 more great grandchildren that will be coming in the next few months. If you know Dolly, then chances are you've been invited to her house for a meal, a coffee, a drink, or dessert. Maybe you've tasted her famous homemade bread or chocolate chip cookies. She generously opened her house daily as a beacon of community, laughter and love. Neighbors, family and friends piled in around that dining room table. Dolly would always find another plate or another chair or put on one more pot of coffee. Everyone felt welcome, always. She has a servant heart, and was notorious for putting the needs of others above her own - emulating the "die to self" love that we see Jesus express in the Bible. And that's where she learned it. When asked the secret to life just a few days ago, she answered without hesitation: "Read your Bible and love Jesus." It was her wish that the testimony of her life would encourage everyone to follow her lead to love and serve Jesus, and to love and serve others well. Dolly and the family are eternally grateful for three particular groups of people: All of her friends at St. Catherine of Siena Church, all her neighbors and friends that have become like family over the years, and the staff and friends she made at Park Village Pines. Dolly spent her last week before eternity in heaven surrounded by the love of her family and friends at Kairos Dwelling. Any contributions made to Kairos Dwelling will be appreciated by the family. The Celebration of Dolly's life will take place on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at St. Catherine of Siena Church. Visitation will take place at the Church at 10:00am with mass following at 11:00am. The celebration will continue afterwards with a luncheon put on by her friends at St. Catherine's, where friends and family can gather to talk, laugh, and love each other. Just like at Dolly's house. A private interment will be in Portage Central Cemetery. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel. www.langelands.com
