Dexter is survived by his four children, Melanie (Jason) Hooker, Mark Mathis, Matt (Alesia) Mathis, and Marsha (Joe Cannon) Mathis; his grandchildren, Mason and Mikayla Hooker, Blake, Brendon, and Adelyn Jameson, and Annabelle, Liberty, Philip, and Benjamin Mathis; his brother, Steve Mathis; his sister, Cathy Mathis; nieces and nephews, Jimmy Mathis, Ashley Mathis, Cristina Cornstubble, and Nick Mathis and their families and long time friend, John (Kathy) Powers. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place at Simply Cremation. There will be a Celebration of Life for Dexter on May 21, 2017 at his brother Steve's Home, 1220 111th Ave. Martin, MI from 12-4 PM.
