Denise Annette Lenox, 67, of Kalamazoo Michigan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at her home in Kalamazoo. She was born March 16, 1956 in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of John and Shirley Moriarty, who preceded her in death.

Denise was a loving, caring and compassionate daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved her friends and would help anyone at the drop of a hat. She was a meticulous homemaker and took pride in her home and her garden known as her "Happy Place". She loved the outdoors and nature and all of God's beautiful creation. She so enjoyed feeding the deer, birds and squirrels that visited her home. She was an avid reader and especially loved murder mysteries as she prided herself in being able to solve the case before the detectives in the stories. She had many kitties during her lifetime and they gave her great joy, with the last two being Bella and Shadow.

She is survived by her loving husband Alan Lenox, her three children: Son Neil and his wife, Kimmie, from Fushing Michigan; daughter, Danielle and her husband Rehan from Tustin California; and her son Aaron from Ann Arbor Michigan; her five grandchildren: Mamoun, Ali, Lucas, Abigail, and Louella all of whom she adored, and her three younger siblings: Michelle Loedeman (Frank), Colette Calame (Matthew Stratton), and Michael Moriarty; her nieces and nephews Ian (Gena and little Eli) Walters, Kailee (Alejandro) Vinasco, Caleb (Jamie) Moriarty, Luke Moriarty, Noah Moriarty and Grace Moriarty. Her family all loved her dearly and will take comfort in knowing she will forever be a part of their lives as she left each with many special memories.

Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, June 1, 2023, beginning at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw. The memorial service will begin at 12:00 p.m. followed by a committal service in Battle Creek Memorial Park Cemetery, 2435 West Territorial Road Battle Creek, where Denise will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, the family would support donations to Denise's favorite local charities.
