Delores Bush

Kalamazoo, MI. Delores "Dee" Johnson Bush, 85, of Augusta, Michigan went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 8, 2025. She was born on April 3, 1940, the youngest of eight children to Ray Thomas and Marian Ruth (Hagerman) John-on. She grew up in the Kalamazoo, Plainwell Otsego area, often changing schools along the way and carrying with her a lifetime of stories and memories from her youth. Dee was known for her wonderful sense of humor, beautiful smile and contagious laugh. With a cheerful heart and selfless spirit, she found joy in helping others. She loved to tell stories and had a gift for making people feel cared for and loved. Her passions are many-- she enjoyed dancing, singing, going to church, playing games and spending time with family and friends. Above all, Dee lived her life with kindness and joy, touching, everyone around her with warmth and laughter. Dee is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Lloyd Robert "Bob" Bush and their children: Tami Bush, Darlene Zwar (Jim), Chad Bush (Staci), Tyler Bush, and Aaron Bush (Candi). She is also survived by a brother, Jack Anderson (Ellen), and many grandkids, great grandkids, nieces and nephews who brought her endless joy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray Johnson and Marian Anderson, her sister Evelyn Iden, her brothers, Jerry, Vern, Tom and Don (Andrea), Jim and Larry Johnson (Betty), a nephew Charlie Iden, daughter-in-law, Katie Hoge, and her beloved grandson, Ryan Michael Hook. Her legacy is one of love, kindness and devotion to family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. Per the family's request a cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Comstock VFW 6252 5990 E. Michigan Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI.
