Dawna Marie Kline (Blackport) passed peacefully on Nov. 17, 2024, at Bronson Hospital, in the care of her family.
The family is hosting a celebration of life on December 7, 2024 at New Apostolic Church of Portage with an 11:00 a.m. viewing followed by a service at noon, where Dawn was an active member.
Dawn's faith was second only to her family, who she always put before herself. Her unwavering dedication to her children was one of her defining traits and she had several kids that were lucky enough to call her mom, whether it was a biological or honorary title.
Born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI, Dawn was a lifelong Red Wings fan and loved a good brawl at their games. She never failed to keep her annual tradition of shopping on Black Friday for a good steal, which was appropriate since she was also an avid Steelers fan.
Dawn's love and light radiated far beyond her family, with community members and people she hardly knew touched by her kindness.
