Dawn Overla

Dawn Overla, age 40, of Howard City, passed away April 1 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus. She was born April 1, 1967 in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of Cecil and Wilma (Potter) Dingess. During her working years she worked as the secretary for Overla and Son Mobile Home Repair and Howard City Pro Lube. Dawn loved spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed bowling and spending time on the house boat. In 1997 she married Ronald Overla who survives. Also surviving are her mother, Wilma, of Grand Rapids; one son, Brandon Moles of Howard City; one daughter, Samantha Moles of Howard City; one step-daughter, Alexandiera Overla of Howard City; one grandchild, Kendell; one brother, Cecil (Nina) Dingess of New York; a half brother, Terry Dingess of California; a sister, Linda Cooper of Grand Rapids; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Cecil, a brother Herman, and a sister Susie. Funeral Services will take place on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Heckman Funeral Home, Pastor Bill Vis officiating, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorials to Hospice may be left at the funeral home where friends may call on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and prior to services on Thursday.
