Timmer, David C. Kalamazoo Passed away Sunday morning, April 18, 2021 at his home. David was born February 7, 1925 in Kalamazoo the son of Cornelius and Gertrude (Kreling) Timmer. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. David was a member of the Netherlands Reformed Congregation and a partner with Timmer Bros. Builders. On September 1, 1950 David was united in marriage to his loving wife of over 70 years, Alberta (Oudshoorn) who survives. Also surviving are his children, Marilyn Timmer, David (Sandra) Timmer, Paul (Elizabeth) Timmer, Debra (Tom) Engelsma, Gary (Julie) Timmer, Barbara (David) Meeuwse, William (Vicki) Timmer, Stephen (Joann) Timmer, James (Joleen) Timmer; 38 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Nelson (Joanna) Timmer, Cora DeBat, Leonard (Leona) Timmer, Ardith Marie (John) Polderman, William (Linda) Timmer, Gerald (Pauline) Timmer; a nephew, John (Nancy) Oudshoorn; and many loved nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by a grand-daughter, Rachael Timmer; and brothers, Henry, Arthur, and Adrian Timmer. Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be a private family gathering for all relatives at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 3926 South 9th Street on Wednesday, April 21 from 6-8pm. Friends may meet the family on Thursday, April 22 from 12:00pm-1:30pm at the Netherlands Reformed Congregation, 108 Pratt Rd where funeral services will follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Herman Hofman officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to the Providence Christian School, or the Plymouth Christion School.
