Meyer, David J. 4/30/1964 - 9/14/2021 Schoolcraft Age 57, went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2021. He was born in Tucson, AZ, on April 30, 1964, the son of Jacob and Mary (Holwerda) Meyer. David was a loving husband, father, brother, and son who leaves behind many memories to be cherished. He graduated from Kalamazoo Christian High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration from WMU. He was passionate about people which lead him to a career in sales. He worked hard at Erbsloeh Aluminum Solutions (Formerly Bowers Manufacturing) in Portage. When not working he was passionate about spending time with his family. Together they enjoyed group outings, ski trips and spending time on the water. He was especially proud of his only son JD and took the time to be involved in his life. He loved watching him play soccer and helped coach when he was able. David enjoyed working with his hands and could always be found tinkering with projects around the house. He also enjoyed working on model cars. He was a selfless man who gave freely of his time and resources and was willing to help others when needed. He was a member of Southridge Reformed Church where his smile and warmth will be missed. Though he has passed too soon, David's memory will be forever cherished by those who loved him. On April 14, 1989, he married the love of his life Karna Meyer who survives. He is also survived by his son JD; mother, Mary Beth; two siblings, Jeffrey, and Nathan Meyer; in-laws, David (Victoria) Clapp; sister-in-law, Karen (Lisa) Clapp-Morris; nephew, Jeffrey Sellinger; nieces, Teagan Meyer; many, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A private memorial service to honor his life will be held and he will be laid to rest at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
