Klosterman, David 10/9/1936 - 12/2/2021 David Peter Klosterman of Clarkston, Michigan went home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2021. David was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on October 9, 1936 to Wilbur Dwight and Esda Fern Klosterman (nee Scarlett), who were committed leaders in the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission. "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain." David was first and foremost a devout Christian and intercessor who loved to share his faith with others and had a lifelong commitment to his local church. His greatest desire was for everyone to know Jesus personally. His life exemplified Christ's command to love one another as he continually put others first and lived a life of humility, compassion and generosity. He loved to study the Bible and had a keen interest in Biblical Archaeology and the book of Daniel. He also had a strong work ethic that carried him through a 64-year automotive engineering career beginning with Shakespeare Company in Kalamazoo, MI. He then worked for Orscheln Industries in Moberly, MO and later returned to Michigan as an engineering executive with Dura Automotive. In March 2021 he retired from KSR International based in Canada. His other passions included raising horses, building barns, playing tennis, flying airplanes, and Michigan football. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Kelly Ann Kribs Klosterman; brothers Wilbur Dwight Klosterman, Jr., Daniel Scarlett Klosterman, Jacob Penn Klosterman and Matthew Winn Klosterman; Sisters Mary Jane Miersma and Rose Etta Langeland; daughter Elizabeth Ann Harris; daughter-in-law Hanan Magdy Klosterman; and grandson Matthew Aaron Klosterman. He is survived by his close friend and brother John William Klosterman (Janet) of Kalamazoo, Michigan; sons Mark David Klosterman, Jacob Peter Klosterman (Susan), and John Kelly Klosterman (Ilona); daughter Mical Lynn Hutson; and grandchildren Tyler David Hutson, Delaney Brooke Ziegman, Daniel Joseph Wahbah, John Jacob Klosterman, Stefan David Klosterman and Katja Elisabeth Klosterman. There will be an Open House on Monday, 27 December, 1-4 PM in Clarkston, MI with an online memorial service beginning at 2 PM. For further information email Dec27Memorial@comcast.net
