He was born January 3, 1948 in Detroit to the late Donald and Doris (Soehner) Kirby. David received his Bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University and established a career in non-profit management in the Kalamazoo Area. He was an avid fisherman and loved being on the water. He is survived by his loving wife, Lorri Kirby; children, Greg Kirby, Kelly (Michael) Torian, Scott Kirby, and Caitlin (Jerome Kluck) Kirby; and grandchildren, Polly and Vinny Torian. Per David's wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be held. Memorial donations may be made to Community Healing Centers, 2615 Stadium Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49008.
