Daniel Largent

It is great sadness that the family of Daniel Lee Largent announce his passing, after a long battle with multiple illnesses, on Monday, November 26, 2018, at the age of 64 years old. Dan will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 36 years Pamela, and their three sons, Adam, Matt (Abby), and Jordan (Rose). Dan will be fondly missed by his three young grandchildren Blake, Paisley, and Bailey, his parents Herschel and Barbara, and his three siblings Kathy (Gary), David (Jenny), and Doug. Dan, born in 1954, was originally a native of Portage, but spent much of his life raising his family in Mattawan. Dan was well known in the area through his former construction company Largent Construction and his active involvement in Mattawan schools, Little League baseball, and AYSO soccer. Dan has battled with multiple illnesses since being diagnosed with and beating pancreatic cancer in 2009. Dan will always being remembered as a fun loving husband and father, who enjoyed spending his time outdoors, especially on the water, with his family. A funeral service for Dan will be held on Saturday, December 1st, at 2 p.m., at Langeland Family Funeral Home, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI, 49009, where friends may visit with the family from 1 p.m. until time of the service. Following the service friends are invited to join the family for a reception in the Langeland Reception Center. Memorial donations in memory of Dan may be made to American Cancer Society.
