Dale Sackett

Sackett, Dale 7/2/1952 - 2/27/2021 Kalamazoo Dale Sackett passed away peacefully on February 27th, at the age of 68, in Kalamazoo, MI. He lost his battle to various medical issues that had transpired over the last couple of years. Dale fought hard all the way to the end, defying some not so favorable odds along the way. Dale was born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI. After he graduated from Mattawan High School, Dale started working maintenance at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He worked at Bronson for 20 years before starting his own business. Dale held a Master Electrician and Building license. He "retired" in 2017 but continued to work as an electrician at Coats Electric for the remainder of his life. Dale is survived by his three children, Cameron, Caitie (Justin), and Corey (Brooke), two grandchildren Jaxon and Emersyn, brother Jerry, and sisters Ann, Helen, and Judy. A memorial gathering will be planned for a later date. Dale enjoyed spending time in or on the water, hunting, throwing bags (cornhole), golfing, taking a drive, riding his Harley when he had one, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He had a great sense of humor and known for his infamous phrases. Dale was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially when it was electrical or building involved.
