Daisy Layton

Age 77, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 12, 2014. Daisy was born in Three Rivers, MI, on June 10, 1937, the daughter of the late Frederick and Pearl (Banks) Anderson. She was a kind and loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who left behind many happy memories. She had a strong faith in the Lord and could often be found with her Bible in her hand and special prayers in her heart. She was a former member of N. Park Presbyterian Church. Daisy always kept busy and her mind was sharp. She loved listening to music and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Above all she loved spending time with her family and friends, and she will be missed by all who knew her. She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Henry Jackson; granddaughters, Monique (Emmanuel) Perez, and Marquita Flores; great-grandchildren, Miroslava Mayorga, and Cameron Perez; 6 sisters, Beverly Scott, Carole (Errol) Scott, Marilyn (Dan Hamblin) Hooper, Lareane Prather, Anita (Jesse Johnson) Boyd, Banita (Raymond) Drain, Brenda Moncrief; 2 brothers, Frederick (Catherine) Anderson, Jonathan (Latoya) Anderson; former daughter-in-laws, Carol Black and Karen Jackson; special friends, Larry Clark and Delilah Black; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was also preceded in passing by her first husband, Henry Jackson; and late husband, Lawrence Layton; a brother, Dwayne Anderson; and a niece, Joann Scott. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial celebration will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 21, 2014, beginning at 12:00 PM, with Theodore J. Boyd III officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Hopkins, MI. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association , c/o the funeral home.
