Obituary
Cynthia Wolf Sheppard, age 57, passed away at Bronson Hospital on January 19, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Tucson, AZ, on January 26, 1968, the daughter of the late Peter and Julie Wolf. Cynthia had a passion for knowledge and learning, for helping others and for her family and friends. She earned a bachelor's degree at Michigan State University and a master's degree from Western Michigan University. She spent her entire career in some aspects of social work and was an ever-present advocate for people facing special needs and disabilities. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed a great book and the peace and quiet of home, where the shelves were filled with the authors she loved. She enjoyed music and attending concerts, was knowledgeable about artists and paintings, loved fashion, jewelry and the latest trends. Her home was also a sanctuary for her pet cats, who she loved. Above all, Cynthia loved her family and her friends. She was a dedicated wife and mother who always did her best to listen, to guide and to love, especially during the tragic loss of her son and stepson. Cynthia, though gone too soon, leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived and she will be missed. On April 12, 1997, she married Robert J. Sheppard who survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Camille Sheppard; son, Connor Sheppard; stepdaughter, Darcy Sheppard; brother, David (Michelle) Wolf; two nieces, extended family and friends. She was also preceded in passing by her son, Brendan Sheppard; stepson, Patrick Sheppard; in-laws, Charles (Mary) Sheppard.
