Constance Schuiteboer

Schuiteboer, Constance D. Portage Passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 15, 2023 at her home. Connie was born May 1, 1949 in Holland, MI the daughter of Earl and Ruth (Koster) Nieboer. She graduated from Cassopolis High School, earned a BSN from Western Michigan University and graduated from the Bronson School of Nursing. She worked at Bronson Methodist Hospital in the operating room for 42 years until retired in 2013. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling to new places, gardening, crafting and volunteering at the grandkids' schools. Anyone she met knew she was never short on words. On September 29, 1979 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Martin Schuiteboer, Jr. who survives. Also surviving are her daughters, Kristen (Brian) DeVries, Lisa (Justin) Shuler; 3 grandchildren, Naomi, Levi, and Annalise; sister and brother, Barb (Gary) Sherwood, Ross Nieboer; brother-in-law, Carl Schuiteboer; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may meet the family from 5:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, February 21 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 where funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, February 22. A light reception will follow the service in the Langeland Family Center. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery at 10:30am Thursday, February 23.
