Connie Klein has passed away at the home of her daughter, Shannon Newsome, in Youngstown, Florida, after a short illness. Connie was born on March 7, 1934 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the oldest of six children.

She started school in a one room schoolhouse in Cloverdale, Michigan, and later attended Kalamazoo Central High School and community college. Connie was a high energy person and held many jobs, including a personal shopper for Jacobson's Department Store, Kalamazoo, Michigan, in the ladies' department where she excelled in customer service. She retired after many years in the office at Bronson Hospital, during which time she also cared for special needs adults in her home on Long Lake, Cloverdale, Michigan.

In later years she retired to Mexico Beach, Florida. Where she began a vacation condo cleaning service and worked at the El Governor Motel. Spending a great deal of time going on adventures with her three best friends Doris Kimmel, Bea Sheeder and Erelen Hall.

Connie was preceded in death by her former husbands, Alfred W Liesinger II, Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Kenneth Klein of Sparta, Michigan; her daughter, Connie (Mickey)Traxler; parents, Harry H. Jones, Sr. and Erlene Jones and her sisters, Carol Hollar and Claudine Liesinger and brother-in-law, Walter (Wally) Liesinger.

She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Martin (Lee) of Montague, Michigan and Shannon Newsome of Youngstown, Florida; sons, Alfred (Max) Liesinger III of Midwest, Oklahoma and Casey Liesinger of Youngstown, Florida, and her grandchildren, Cobi VanOeffelen, Kelli Gross, Tara Coppler, Chad Liesinger and Shae Liesinger and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Harry H. Jones, Jr. (Evelyn) and Clancy Jones of Michigan and Michael (Mickey) Jones (Rhonda) of Jacksonville, Florida and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Cedar Creek Cemetery, 9701 Cedar Creek Rd., Delton, MI, Barry County, Michigan
