Ransler, Clifford L. 2/4/1936 - 1/13/2022 Kalamazoo, Formerly of Gobles Passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at his home. Cliff was born February 4, 1936 in Gobles, son of the late Clarence and Irene Ransler and had lived in the Gobles area through high school where he was a member of the 1954 Gobles State Championship Basketball team. Following graduation Cliff moved to Kalamazoo and entered the trades putting himself through the electrical apprenticeship program. Cliff was a proud 64-year member of the IBEW Local 131 and had worked as an electrician for his entire career, retiring in 1998. Growing up on a farm, Cliff was not one to shy away from hard work and was a very strong man. Having a lake on the farm, Cliff also had a love of fishing, swimming and skiing. He also enjoyed tennis and participated in several euchre tournaments over the years and especially enjoyed playing with his family. Surviving are his children, Tina (Brian) Harden and Scott (Katherine) Ransler; grandchildren, Michael, Krissy, Travis, Mallory, Noah, Jonah, Micah, Michaela and Jeff; 7 great grandchildren, Kaleb, Stella, Mykenzie, Lucas, Emma, Madeline, Hudson; brother, Elton (Alice) Ransler; sister, Shirley Hurley; and a dear close friend, Jeanie Mulder. He was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife, Louise. The family will meet friends on Tuesday, January 18th from 11 AM until time of service at 1 PM at the Gobles Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, www.dlmillerfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Centrica Care Navigators.
