Clarence T. "Ted" Millard

Clarence T. "Ted" Millard, 75, died March 26, 2010. Ted was born March 16, 1935 to Charles and Opal (Light) Millard in Fayette Township, MI. He graduated from Marshall High School, Kellogg Community College, and also the University of Michigan. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, and went on to work as an engineer for the Kellogg Company. Ted was on the Calhoun County Planning Commission and the Newton Township Road Committee. He enjoyed raising beef cattle and fixing antique clocks. Ted was very proud of his membership in the Kellogg 25 Year Club. Ted married the love of his life, Marjorie Rice, on September 21, 1960, who survives. Also surviving is his loving daughter, Lyn Millard of Tucson, Arizona; three grandchildren, Cameron McConkie of Stevens Point, WI, and Matthew and Dakota Bullock, both of Williamsburg, VA. Ted was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Cynthia McConkie-Bullock; and his brother, Maynard Millard. The family will gather to receive friends from 1-2 p.m., Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery, beginning at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to consider the First Christian Church, the Calhoun County Humane Society, the American Diabetes Association .
